14 Jun New and Improved Owner’s Manual
As some of you may have noticed the full owners manual for your simulator is located on your desktop or in the STEMPilot files folder on your desktop. We do our best to update them whenever large changes are made. We try to do them in a way that doesn’t eliminate any instructions catering to the older versions of Prepar3D so we can all be on the same page (no pun intended….. Okay you got me, it was so intended). Now that our current simulators have officially been updated to run Version 4 of Prepar3D (which has a new layout), it’s time for some updates.
Now 1.66 times the size of the last version, the new manual hasn’t only been updated to include new locations and layout differences for V4. You will find tips throughout the document from the Technical Support Staff, F.A.Q.’s with troubleshooting steps, and even the PC set-up & Unit Assembly instructions for each standard STEMPilot simulator model (normally printed and placed in the Customer Box/Packet).
No need to worry. Just because your assembly instructions are included in the Owners Document does not mean that you will no longer receive a printed version in new orders. Like before, you will receive a printed preview version of the owners Manual. It will cover the basics, like; computer on/off procedure, file locations, controller functions, and now your Set-up instructions. A preview version of the Cover and Table of Contents has also been made for the printed version, laying out what pages are actually printed. Boxes have also been placed next to each unit in the assembly section so we may check off your unit’s specific instructions as being the only one printed and not overwhelm you with extra papers you don’t need (… and save the trees of course).
The most updated manual is posted below for you to open and download. If for some reason you have any issues or trouble accessing it (technology can be quite moody sometimes), feel free to email our Head of Technical Support, Shannon directly at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will happily email you a copy.
We all (especially our Technical Support Staff) hope this helps. However, if you still have questions or need assistance, feel free to call the office from 8am-4pm (EST), Mon.-Fri. at (203) 527-5747.
Don’t forget (because everyone, including us, does at some point), the 2 most important steps of troubleshooting;……………………………… Is it on? & Is it plugged in?
