30 May STEMPilot Demonstrates their Edustation Flight Simulator at Albert Leonard Middle School’s STEM Career Fair May 18, 2017

STEMPilot was invited to exhibit/demonstrate their project based learning K-12 program at Albert Leonard Middle School’s STEM Career Fair, May 18th by Iona College’s STEP Program.  One by one, our representatives had the students, and even some of the teachers and staff, fly the simulator. Our goal was to demonstrate how this engaging hands on activity could not only be easily incorporated into the existing lesson structure, but also increase the students involvement and understanding of the class.

We believe in the virtue of engaging students to apply their classroom knowledge of math and science in a meaningful project based learning program. Because of that; we make sure the STEMPilot curriculum is aligned, and stays aligned with NYSSS, NGSS, CC and other state and local standards. The program and curriculum has been designed for the non-aviator teacher, so no prior aviation experience or knowledge is necessary. That paired with P.D. training videos and tutored missions, will ensure you and your students will be able to easily master the math and science in aviation.

Thank you to all the students and teachers who welcomed us into your school. We hope you enjoyed are demonstration and look forward to working more with you in the future.
