20 May Fueling Futures: STEMPILOT Inspires at LAUSD Region South’s STEAM Gala
This past Saturday, STEMPILOT had the incredible opportunity to participate in the LAUSD Region South STEAM Gala, an energetic and inspiring event that brought together students, families, and educators from across Region South. Our EduStation Pro flight simulators were a major attraction, keeping students of all ages—from elementary through high school—engaged and flying from start to finish.
From the moment the doors opened, excitement filled the air. Students lined up to take the controls of our simulators, each flight sparking curiosity and confidence as they explored the science and engineering behind aviation. The event buzzed with creativity, featuring vibrant student displays, dance performances, and musical showcases that highlighted the talent and spirit of Region South.
What makes events like the STEAM Gala so meaningful is the strong presence and participation of the LAUSD community. From Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho to Region South Superintendent Andre Spicer, to the dedication of teachers and the enthusiasm of students—LAUSD continues to be one of the most active members of the STEMPILOT family. Every year, districts across LAUSD expand their simulator fleets and deepen their commitment to introducing STEM education at the earliest stages.
At STEMPILOT, we believe in making STEM exciting, hands-on, and accessible for all learners. Outreach opportunities like this gala help us fulfill our mission—inspiring future engineers, pilots, and problem-solvers one flight at a time. We are honored to continue partnering with LAUSD and look forward to soaring even higher together.
