01 Aug Porterville Military Academy, CA Aviation Lab is One of the BEST YET

Porterville has made a commitment to Aviation Education in both the middle and high school. Minervo Ramirez is the Flight Instructor (Teacher) for this program teaching 6-12th grade students how to apply classroom math, science and engineering by learning to fly. Minervo and his students have constructed their own wind tunnel and they have built many types model airplanes from foam to plastic. He uses many “Hands On” activities engaging the students in many different ways. The STEMPilot’s Edustations have been in service since 2020 and are flying strong.  Congratulations to Principal Rudy Cardona for supporting this amazing educational opportunity for the students.
